The above link will take you to the Dana Foundation Publication for this year. It is titled: Learning, Arts, and the Brain. As an Arts in Ed. person I find the discussion of the areas of the brain that are stimulated during art making very interesting. Page 4 remarks that it is believed that different art form stimulate different areas of the brain. The document also states that the arts generally improve cognition. If you are interested in cognition and the arts then this document is really helpful.
